McCluer 14, McCluer North 9 • Rico Hill and Jordan Moore scored on short runs to lead the Comets to a win in this battle at North.
McCluer (2-2) went ahead to stay on Moore's 5-yard TD scamper late in the third period.
North climbed to within five points on a 48-yard strike from Roman Brown to De'Von Williams in the game's final seconds. It was the first touchdown of the season for the Stars (0-4).
The Comets have won two in a row after season-opening losses to Jennings and Ritenour. Stars will be road next Saturday at rival Hazelwood Central.
