Stars came away with a tough home win against a DeSmet team they just had defeated on Saturday at Oakville Tourn. The Stars jumped out to an early 18-8 1st qt lead behind Demarion Jone's 10 1st qt points. The Spartans closed the gap in the 2nd qt, but the Stars still held a 25 - 21 lead at halftime despite big man Quintin Hall's foul trouble. The Stars struggled on offense in the 2nd qt with only 7 points. DeSmet continued to push and actually tied the game up at 38 all heading to the 4th qt. In a back and forth 4th qt the Stars hit some key free throws late to hold for the win. Demarion Jone's led the Stars with 18 pts, which included an 8-10 effort from the FT line. Marlon Owens added 12 pts and Cameren Lucas chipped in with 11 points as the Stars upped their record to 12-1 on the year.
