The Lady Stars rolled to a big Senior Night home win at MNHS Gym 51-30 over the visitors from Riverview Gardens. The 4 seniors (Alexus Steele, Ayanna Gibson, Alexis Allen-Summers, and Alexus Davis) were recognized before the game with their families and the 4 seniors got the start along with Freshmen Samya Johnson. The Lady Stars busted out to q quick 17-2 1st qt lead behind Samya Johnson's 9 pts and Ayanna Gibson's two 3 pt buckets. Missed opportunities from the free throw line in the 2nd qt (1-5 as a team) kept the Lady Rams in the game as the Lady Stars rolled into halftime leading 22-7. In the 2nd half the Lady Stars coasted to the easy win. Samya Johnson would lead the Lady Stars on the night with 22 pts and senior Ayanna Gibson added 10 pts. Alexus Davis chipped in with one of her better games all year with 9 pts. The Lady Stars finished 4-1 in the Suburban Conf North Div and upped their record to 12-13 on the year.
