Freshman Skyla Koch came up with a big finish Thursday.
The second of her two goals came in double overtime as McCluer North toppled Ritenour 4-3 to win the Class 4 District 3 championship at Ritenour.
The tallies gave Koch 32 goals for the season.
North (12-7-1), which had lost earlier contests to Ritenour by scores of 8-4 and 4-3, flipped the script when it mattered most.
The win puts the Stars into the Class 4 sectional round for the first time since 1997. They'll play Tuesday against Francis Howell Central.
North also got goals from junior Navone Armstrong and senior Maggie McGrellis.
Sophomore Allison Starke earned the win in goal for North. She played all 80 minutes and made 10 saves.
